Aeros Unique Biocidal Treatment for Plasma Thaw and Water Baths
Aeros is a water biocide based on BPR registered Huwa-San technology. The product is being used in NHS haematology laboratories, biotech laboratories and universities as a disinfectant in plasma thaw and water baths.

The unique stabilisation conferred by Huwa-San technology means that the product has extended longevity (several weeks) in a water bath, excellent efficacy against bacteria, fungi, algae, spores, and viruses. The product has excellent biofilm removal and treatment efficacy.

Aeros has no taint, taste or smell.Laboratory water baths need to be kept clean and disinfected. The disinfectants traditionally used are quats, Bronopol, Benzalkonium chloride and other complex organics. Peracetic acid has been used but is now considered too aggressive.

- Must be effective against all bacteria, viruses, fungi algae and spores

Aeros meets all of these criteria and is a much more sustainable biocide that any of those currently used. Its excellent long-term stability means 1000 ppm hydrogen peroxide should easily last for 2-3 weeks – the normal time between bath refills.
Hydrogen peroxide levels can be checked easily using a simple test strip.
