Laminitis is an extremely painful condition affecting 1 in 10 horses/ponies every year and can cause permanent damage to the hooves if left untreated. Laminitis comes in 3 forms including hormonal, inflammatory and abnormal weight baring.

Equi-Lami is a product based on ortho silicic acid(OSA) which allows silica to be processed in the gut of the horse. Paired with a restricted diet, Equi-Lami will aid the recovery of Laminitis and help to prevent a reoccurrence.

Horses need a continuous supply of silica to maintain optimum levels in connective tissue.  Laminitis affects the connective tissue in the Laminae of the horse’s hoof. Equi-Lami will support recovery and increase bone density which will have a strengthening effect on the pedal bone in the hoof.

Excess of product is excreted in the urine.

Silicon (not to be confused with the plastic Silicone), in the form of Ortho Silicic Acid (OSA) is important for the health of humans, animals and plants.

We recommend that the correct amount of product be fed daily as a supplement:

• Add to horse’s feed
• If the horse is a fussy eater, add 100ml water
• This should be repeated daily.
