DD1 will penetrate and remove system biofilms which include legionella and pseudomonas bacteria as it contains silver stabilised hydrogen peroxide. Whereas disinfection with chlorine-based products is a two-stage process. Chlorine can’t be mixed with acid based products and so the disinfecting and descaling become two separate jobs. Disinfecting with chlorine can only remove the top layer of biofilm.
