Huwa-San Technology
Huwa-San is a water treatment chemical proven to not only kill legionella bacteria, but to also remove the biofilm from the inside of systems. This is where bacteria love to breed.
Huwa-San is more effective than other treatments such as chlorine and chlorine dioxide because it is effective at removing biofilm. In addition it is a more environmentally and people friendly solution too.
Why Is Huwa-San Better?
• Huwa-San effectively removes biofilm, penetrating through all layers resulting in a cleaner system.
• Huwa-San is more cost effective, saving time and money.
• Legionella and other bacteria can breed in host amoebae where legionella can grow unchecked. Huwa-San destroys these host cells and the bacteria within the amoebae. These are resistant to chlorine.
• Huwa-San is very stable, working through a wide pH range and up to 95°C. Chlorine is only effective between pH 6.4 and 8.0.
• Huwa-San is significantly less corrosive than chlorine and chlorine dioxide.
• Chlorine forms carcinogenic by-products such as THMs (trihalomethanes). Huwa-San breaks down into oxygen and water.
