Central Heating Cleaner Rad-X (1 litres)

A good central heating cleaner should do the following:

1. Remove corrosion deposits and scale from the heating system
2. Be compatible with the metals and seals of the system
3. Be suitable for use in hard or soft water

SafeSol, central heating cleaner Rad-X, is an excellent product for use in domestic systems. It is a mix of chelants, dispersants and surfactants which are designed to remove light corrosion deposits and scale.

Central heating cleaners are an essential part of the process of maximising the life of your heating system.

Dosing the Central Heating Cleaner

Prior to cleaning with Rad-X flush the central heating system with clean water to help remove loose materials and debris.

SafeSol Rad-X is added to a central heating system at the rate of 1% which is 1 litre per 100 litres of system volume.

As a rule of thumb the volume in domestic systems can be calculated by counting the number of single radiators (a double radiator counts as two radiators) and multiplying by 10

Rad-X can be added via a pressure sprayer or a dosing pump.

Once Rad-X is introduced to the system it should be introduced and circulated in the systems for as long as possible but at least 4 hours. Product performance will be improved when heated (60C is the optimum temperature) The system should then be flushed to remove Rad-X and debris. The system should then be dosed with SafeSol inhibitor Rad-Save
